Divers recovered the body of a 41–year–old man whose car ran off the road and into the canal behind Grand Harbour on Friday afternoon.

Members of the public and divers from the police marine unit helped to get the man out of the water.
He was given CPR at the scene and taken to George Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police attended the scene shortly after 5pm.
The man’s vehicle, a silver truck, was later pulled from the water.
The driver was the only person in the car and there were no other vehicles involved, according to police.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is investigating the accident.
