Cayman presence at Aviation show

The recession didn’t prevent the National Business Aviation Association tradeshow from flying high.

Held last month in Orlando, Florida the 62nd annual three day event showcasing the latest trends and technology in the aviation industry attracted nearly 23,000 people, and more than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world.

A large delegation led by the Cayman Islands Civil Aviation Authority participated in the premier event promoting aircraft registry and associated business services in the Islands.

The attractive and diverse exhibit featuring information on aviation and yacht registrations, charter operators, legal firms and general destination information drew a lot of interest from both industry experts and members of the public.

“The CAACI has over the past six years built a strong presence at key industry tradeshows and we are actively sought out by clients/potential clients of the registry and others that interact with the registration process such as financiers, legal advisors, manufacturers and aircraft operators”, said Richard Smith Director–General of Civil Aviation. “This year despite the depressed financial markets we experienced three very interactive days filled with vital meetings”.

The premier trade show is one of the largest in the United States.
