I fully endorse all those who are in support of keeping Pirates Week without changing the name.
Pirates Week has been a long standing tradition of the Cayman Islands and both the name and the activity go hand–in–hand and should definitely remain as is.
To change the name to Cultural Festival does no justice whatsoever to the actual content of this all–important traditional activity. Pirates Week is a cultural festival in itself, which does not need the redundancy of the name change.
Like so many others – natives and visitors alike – I, too, love the Cayman Islands, the people and the rich traditions of these beautiful islands. God bless you.
