Cyclist injured

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is investigating an accident that occurred at around 12.10am on Sunday in which a cyclist was knocked off his bicycle by a car.

The car and bicycle were traveling south along North Sound Road when the vehicle collided with the rear wheel of the bicycle, causing the rider to fall. The cyclist sustained injuries to the head and was flown to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Traffic Management Unit. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact Chief Inspector Courtney Myles on 926–0649.
