Pirates Week 5K Run/Walk

    The annual Pirates Week 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Friday , 9 November.
 
     A large field of local and visiting entrants is expected to contest the 3.1 mile event, which will start on Harbour Drive at the South Cruise Terminal at 5:00 p.m.
 
      It is expected that traditional starter Blackbeard will be on hand to give the command to get underway.
 
      The course will take participants out South Church Street to a turnaround point and return back to the starting place.
 
      Entry fee is C.I. $15 or U.S $18.Included are event shirts, overall and age group performance awards, and random prizes.
 
      The sponsors are Deloitte and Gatorade, and the organizers are the Cayman Islands Athletic Association for the Pirates Week Committee.
 
      Entry forms are available at the Pirates Week office on Shedden Road from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. through Thursday, 8 November. On Friday, 9 November , registration at the Pirates Week Office will close at 3 p.m., and reopen at 4 p.m. at the mall opposite the South Cruise Terminal.
