Two bicycles won by visitors at the Kids’ Fun Day during Pirates Week have been donated back to the community and passed on to two youngsters in the George Town district.

The visitors – Meghan Pattison of West Chester, Pennsylvania and Phenomena Radovcic of Bradenton, Florida – had left the Kids’ Fun Day function prior to the prize draw.

When contacted overseas by the Pirates Week Office, they each asked that the bikes be given to two deserving children here.

Dale Ramoon and Zemrie Thompson of the George Town District Day Committee selected Kyana Bustillo of Prospect Primary and Ivan McField of George Town Primary to receive the new bikes.

Government Community Development Officer Zemrie Thompson said both youngsters were doing well in school and were worthy recipients.

“It makes for a nice Christmas gift for them, and we have to thank the visitors for their generosity,” said Mr. Ramoon.
